RE : BODY OF LETTER TO BE ENTERED INTO THE CONGRESSIONAL RECORD
Dear Congressman Olver:
Platinum Vapor Injection (PVI), is a low cost, simple to use emission control technology
which does not deteriorate. It is applicable to all fossil fuel
combustion processes, including those already in use. The only variables are the quantity
of catalyst involved and the manner in which it is dispensed.
When used in combination with current state-of-the-art technology, at manufacturers specifications,
emissions drop below all established EPA certification
codes through the year 2000 for diesel and gasoline engines.
It the manufacturers are unable to meet this standard without PVI, as they have claimed, then
PVI in conjunction with current OEM pollution control equipment,
should be immediately classified as "LATEST TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE" and mandated.
Hard and soft carbon deposits are eliminated extending the life of the engine, its components
and the emission system, thereby reducing maintenance cost.
For example a catalytic converter could be warranted to meet IM240 emission codes for the life of
the vehicle.
PVI raises the performance of fuel while increasing its efficiency, resulting in fuel savings
of up to 20%. The exact percentage for a given application is
determined by the fuel type and current efficiency of the combustion process. Viewed as an average,
1 out of every 10 tankers of foreign oil sailing into port
could be eliminated today. This fuel which never enters the combustion process never has a chance
to pollute, further reducing the environmental impact of
fossil fuel combustion processes.
Regardless of how well an engine has been designed from a mechanical and electronic point of view,
PVI always improves any fossil fuel combustion process.
This is due to the PVI addressing the issue from a third prospective, which is the chemistry of
combustion. The following SME and SAE technical reports confirm this.
Sincerely,
Aaron Cosgrove
